An ode to a cat

Just living is not enough... One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.
~ Hans Christian Andersen

A little flower to pounce upon, that's what I want.
I waited and watched everyday.
Once it was spring, there were dandilions all around.
But never a one so tall that could sway
in the tantalizing breeze.

So I waited and watched everyday.
For sunshine, freedom and a little flower.

Shores of time

At the shores of time
Together they played
Twisting the mantle of time

Vast was the pool
Of the ocean blue
That they slyly emptied

Yet time stayed still
With their laughter fill
But then it came
With a warp, Swiftly torn apart
Into the mantle they were thrown

'O brother! O brother!
Where are thee!'
Laments still at the shores of time.
